This guy took his rg another step further. These two puppies are up for sale on this dutch microjet website.

My project in coming years will be to make the worlds first (that I know of) microturbine powered RC car

which should be challenging and fun.

And one day get a decent sized jet engine and mount it onto the back of a bike

- seen it done (dual) with go-carts.

Interesting. The craziest thing I ever saw was a drag race go-kart with a rocket motor on the back. The driver sat with a fuel tank either side.

one of the guys at work has a fan powered A10, and is building a scramjet powered drag truck that should be good for 130/140k or so. the A10 is just scary.

remember seeing a B-52 model that had 8 engines similar to those puppies... flew really well too, till the dude fucked up and killed a $10,000, 50,000hr project in to a flaming heap of bent microjet engines and flaming nitro-meth model fuel!

I think Thailand has max of 125cc/150cc or something like that, so drastic measures are needed to go faster than 140ish i'd say.

These engines make 19kg of thrust each - a ZXR250C makes something like 25kg-m... dunno what the conversion is but it probably is a torque force instead of a thrust force. I wouldn't bother on a 250 really, but it would help. Get a busa and then try with some large micro jets in a streamlined rear cowl.

Just the sound would be worth it! (and the wank factor)

no you looked at the manual which has it printed as 2-5kg-m and fucked it up, fuck its a sad day when I own your maths, go back to school ... BROZ

Pity they're not mounted on a sprotsbike in the pics. I don't like the look of the location of that can of fuel either!

Why nitro?
There is no reason not to run any GT engine on kero or diesel
