DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
As long as you don't paint the guards body colour.

Ruined, just like that.

Regarding the David Silver Spares/generic reproduction K0 1969 right hand L/R handlebar switch. The 1969/1970 bikes didn't have the imprint "Turn" on them. I think it's some sort of USA Department of Transport thing that they have to have it. So, It's far from kidding anyone. Just like if the old tyres (tires) don't have the DOT numbers there's "no warrant of fitness for you, son". For the rivet counters, I'm restoring my diecast 1969 K0 and had the handlebar controls black anodized at great expense by Airbus New Zealand (formerly Safeair) in Blenheim. It wasn't a great sucess for a number of reasons.

I'm livin' the dream.
I've seen that combination a couple of times in pics - may even have been the same bike. Came up in one of the early pom auctions - Cheffins ?
I like it. Not what you'd expect on a Vin but tasteful IMO.
Like the Mikunis too - but I"d like to see how the front one is fitted, LOL.
You bloody trainspotters. I have a mate in the UK that builds parts for racing sidecar outfits, he gets a lot of parts Blackodised, I'm not sure if that's the plating you want done, but judging by how much of it he gets done, I doubt it's a difficult or expensive service to source in that part of the world.
I can hook you up with it if you like.
P.s, are you hondacollector on trademe?

That's exactly what I have read about them direct from Honda gravity die cast rather than pressure diecast that's all.
Harley went out of their way on the Evo to make the cases look like rough sand cast by using a weather beaten tool.
My old Berg has sand cast cases as does any old Villiers or Greeves
This is my old girl.
It feels bad to the bone hooning around on it with a loud four into one, just like 1983.
The first time I owned virtually the same bike, it was 12 years old, it's 47 years old now.
