Route 66 - Bike Hire??

I'm going to the states in about 5 or 6 weeks looking to hire a Harley and do a bit of Route 66 with the missus for a day or so.
Just so I can say I did it lol

Any recommendations for bike hire?? Tour group ride or the like??
Anyone been there done that

Most Harley dealers have rental bikes. I hired one for 28 days a few years back.

Btw, there are far better rides to do than Route 66. Most of it is flat and straight. PM me if you want to chat about it

Where will you be riding from/to? I did 15 days last year, Vegas to Vegas via Zion, Bryce, Moab, Monument Valley, Williams to Oatman on Route 66.

Which part of Route 66 are you thinking about riding?

Back in the late seventies purposely drove the section from LA to Flagstaff, AZ, on the way to the Grand Canyon. An interesting way to spend a day...

Yep, this is probably about as much of route 66 as you would want to do. Williams is a pretty cool town, you will be rushing back to Vegas to enjoy whats on offer!

We are doing a multi stop trip Houston, New Orleans, Chicago, Indy 500, Louisville _ area then fly to Vegas, Grand canyon, then I thought we might ride the last part to Los Angeles.
So because of the packed tour type trip thinking might ride to Hover dam them down 95 and join route 66 at Kingman then through to LA via Oatman, Needles, Bastow.
Prob a day trip or two day.

Anyway your help so far has been great I'll look for a dealership that hires one city pick up and another drop off.

Eaglerider is probably your best bet.
Oatman was cool, full of middle aged bikers and donkeys. The ride from Vegas to Kingman is tedious, pretty much a straight road but Kingman to Oatman and beyond is a good ride.
If it is going to be hot (40ish C when I was there) then buying a 'wet vest' is a good idea. They are like a cotton padded vest and you soak them in water and the evaporation keeps you cool.
