What are you guys saying? That unhappy cops write out more tickets to make themselves happy? That cops are quite happy not to write out tickets? That cops are unhappy when they do? That cops write out more tickets to get happy again? Is that how it works? huh? huh?

    update

Currently have just survived driving through San Francisco and over the Golden Gate which was on its best picturesque behaviour and now in Napa - wine country of course for Chrissy Bimbo.
Went to Pomona swap meet (5am start!!) and saw many interesting things including a mini with NZ number plates on it.
Running out of time in this library so will send more later.

    Movin' on

Hi gang, back again, this time from Yreka up near the border with Oregon, nice wee place.
Left Napa yesterday via a smaller road, Route29, man it has to be one of the best fun roads for bikes - smooth surface, tons of sweeping tight corners, (and lots of 'em) straight bits and a lot of up/down hill stuff, bloody magic!

Seen heaps of touring bikes, ratio of H-D to other brands would be about 70% H-D, came over a big pass towards this town, saw several sprots bikes on tour, the road had heaps of fast sweepers and would be fun at speed - big centre divider to make sure nobody cut to the wrong side of the road and 2 to 3 lanes wide.

Lou would love it here, most roads 70mph and if ya ain't doing 80+ your left in the dust, still see a few getting tickets so they must be the really fast ones.

Speed penalties double in road work areas and running a red light costs $230, better than NZ>

    Gotta go,

    further north

Now at Kelso (no, not the one near Tapanui but in the state of Washington) and just been for a swim and a hearty Mexican meal.

Saw a radical 'bike today as it went past, looked like West Coast Choppers met Honda Gold Wing, had that cool radical custom look (Long vertical tail lights moulded into each side of the the long hangin-down-at-the-arse rear fender) and the engine APPEARED to be a Gold Wing unit.

Prices on 2nd hand Jap bikes look pretty good, I'll get a copy of the Bike Trader next time I check in and give you a few quotes.

Done 3,300km approx. of cruising around, tons more to go.

BTW, Dunno if i mentioned it but met HondaV2 at Dunners airport, magic photos of his trip!

    Cheers,
    SD & CB.

As an ex - Catholic I'm well used to feeling the guilt and doing it anyway.

Gee I wonder what a confusion for speeding cost a Catholic. Still "hail Mary's" or do they take cash now (runs like fu*k, too late gets ).

I ask you to pick-up a radar detector for me SD, but that would be un-ethical Glad you're having a good trip and Chrissi is enjoying her wine
