Matters not a jot what it means - it has to be memorable.

hmm... not very creative meself, so I'll help from another angle.

It sorta depends how big you think you are going to get in the near future? Perhaps you might end up with a website (doesn't necessarily have to take orders, could be a static info site). In which case you would need a name that is preferably available to register.

Most of the popular brands at the moment are one word (Spidi, Oxtar, Teknic etc etc), and not an acronym and relatively easy to pronounce.

Just a few bits to think about...

Second skin or Xecond skin isn't a bad from that person...

maybe even Xecond. got the X you like, second could mean racetrack, second skin, only takes you a second to do something... etc.

Then again it could mean you are second not first...

    Yeah - 5 minute job.

Indeed - thats its point of difference and the main point.

    My mantra:

"Make it simple. Make it memorable. Make it inviting to look at. Make it fun to read." - Leo Burnett, quoted in 100 LEO's,

It's leather for bikers - if that's not an excuse to go gothic or genX i don't know what is. look how many people are wearing west coast choppers iron crosses - i am

I'd even use a tortured/distressed drawing of notre dam as the graphic and the cartoon hunchback biker in a brando jacket.
(it even infers some 'euro' style.)

think 'down the line' - tee shirts, stickers, it's all branding and it's much snappier if ya got a gimmick.

and remember - advice is worth what you pay for it.

    IP statement

What you don't want to do is have the thing as descriptive. DON'T call it
    "Quasi's Motorbike Leathers"
    Do call it "Fliblerarowr"

If you call it something descriptive it is REALLY hard to trademark it -

    I like:

    Rashers

I have to say out off all of them I have seen so far I like the weta idea and also the Quasimoto idea aswell. It is really funny how quickly a name looses its original meaning to that of the product the name has been applied to. What do you think when you hear Billabong, small pool of water or a surfboard?? 9 out of 10 people will think of a surfboard. If you have a conversation about a new product that you are interested in by the end of the convo you will associate the name with the product not its original meaning.
