My experience of instructing posties (DX and NZ Post) folk is that they are very experienced, given that they ride for at least 5 or 6 hours per day.

Unless they have a personal bike as well, they struggle on open roads at speeds in excess of 80 kmh. Cornering at speed is not normally something they have to do for work.

What they excel at is slow speed handling. They can normally turn a Cub or a GN125 in almost their own length, as that's something they have to do, day in and day out.

I always talk of those guys as professional motorcyclists. Like, Jorge Lorenzo is a professional motorcyclist, but so is the guy who rides to deliver mail all year round, in all sorts of shitty weather.
