That's the same one as mine.

    It's the '98 F3.

Yip she is the same as the one i had. Cept mine had braided lines, race tailsection and aftermarket raised 2" pipe....

Good at wheelies and really easy to ride. Only problem i found was a little to sports tourer for my needs, dropping the front 18mm helped heaps but i was still working pretty hard to keep up with modern day gixxer's and the like.Really forgiving stable front end

Have fun though I really loved the powerfull engine.

All the models seem to hold their price pretty well. I still see F2s going for five and a half.

That was VERY fun. All I can compare it to is sitting on a rocket.

MUCH more comfortable than the RG and I can safely say faster. I felt like I could ride it all day.

The only thing that worries me about it is its condition. I asked the guy if he had had any accidents.
He said he had but it had only been cosmetic and that insurance had pretty much replaced all the cosmetic stuff on the left side.

The seat has a small hole in it.
The plastic around the back light on one side looks a little loose.
The front guard has been badly plastic welded (apprently by previous owner)
Bike is left outside and is getting surface rust around the steering etc on the frame·
The brakes seem less reponsive than my RG although they seem to work, they make a bit of noise not sure if its bad or not.

All repairs and maintainence have been done by Motorad.

Oh yeah I asked him how much he had paid and he said $7500 6 months ago

I think for the right price and if it is mechanically sound and the frame is not bent or anything this could be a good bike for me.

Any ideas on prices and places to take it to get it properly checked out/valued?

hmmm i'd be looking at about 6-6.5k for that bike depending on what the mechanic says.
