    great ride today.

went for my first trip down the rimutakas. What a fantastic piece of road!
Cheers to the GSXR600? or 750? that I followed out of featherston. I thought he would show me the way over the hill but I never saw him after the 3rd corner. I cruised steadierly over the hill learning the road as I have heard of many many stories about people binning it over there and I can see why. My poor little 600 was screaming at me to open her up but I just too wussy. Loved it though. There was something just great about all the cars pulling left as soon as they see you coming up behind them. It was just fantastic. I did 400k today and didn't hit any rain at all. happy happy chappy here.

Oh and cheers for all the waves. The whole trip there was only 1 cruiser who didn't wave back.

Going at breakneck speed isn't necesarely what it's all about anyway. As long as you enjoyed it, is the main thing.

Ever notice that anyone slower than you is an idiot, but anyone going faster is a maniac?

great road isnt it?? i binned it through a hairpin and almost uder a landcruiser, in the wet mind you. but many a time do the pegs hit the ground without coming off on that road. full throttle nearly every corner on a gn as its too slow.

Foreigner hey, come to our neck of the woods. Well I hope you paid the visitors road tax for the upkeep of our playground. Did about 3 runs up and down this morning. couldn't go past Feathers because it looked like rain so I stuck to the perfect sunshine on the hill. The lads are doing a fine job resealing the corners just for us riders. That's why I pay taxes!!
It's a hard road boy finding the perfect hill. Well personally I think the best hill for bikes in NZ is Little River to Akaroa

Cant think of a better reason. It did threaten rain all day and I rode a few wet roads but must have just been missing the rain as I never actually rode through rain. all was good. Ill be happy all week now.
