It's good this thread hasn't turned into a pissing contest!

I'm blardy impressed that Doilies were not just mentioned, but actually discussed!

I've searched, there's only one other mention of a doily on KB. Not quite a first then, but impressive (and at the same time scarily freaky) nonetheless!

    (The other Doily post.)

Well, where else would you expect to have doilies (lace ones in particular) as a subject of discussion, than on a biker site. After all, we do have to maintain our image in society.

Nothing like unexpected juxtaposition - doilies on a site dictated to bikes. I'm not sure that this brings to mind favourable mental images though...leather and doilies - the mind boggles...

...and not in a good way.

Funny word - wondered about the etymology of it - apparently named after some London chappy back-in-the-day.

Oh, and I did find this. Consider yourself pre-warned - should you not be a doily person, this site is arguably more disturbing than the hardest core pr0n imaginable.

Post script: I am truly sad. I'm meant to be studying for end of year exams, and this is the best procrastination I can come up with.

Maybe I should just quit while I'm (not) ahead and go to Shads for a beer...perhaps I should merely curl into the fetal position in shame at the direction to which I have returned this thread...

It's good you've recognised that your hearts not in it - go to the pub and study fresh tomorrow.

Hmm home at 4-5ish am up at 1pm for a leisurely brunch, look at the books (sitting on the desk) consider studying, forget it feel like crap, 3 more hours sleep, up to shower and eat, look at the books again (still sitting on the desk) get a call from your mates, boozing till 3-4, hooked up (sweet), sneak out of her place at about 10, home for sleep, up at 7 totally shagged, eat, look at books again (yup still there) lay on the couch watching nothing on TV, go to bed lay ther listening to music.

Aye - used to be prone to such antics in my younger days (Daze?) at Otago.

Mere 'innocent' procrastination these days...happily engaged ...that, and home is a *very* long way from any licensed premises ie gotta drive/ride home; ie hardly ever sink piss like I formerly did. Taxi = too expensive, walking not an option [no foot path much of the way = surer way of ensuring death/maiming than commuting on a bike].

Anyone else shedding a tear for the poor, hard-done-by Phurrball?

    No, I didn't think so...

I'll merrily pick up some beers and a DVD on the way home...and snuggle up with Mrs P

I just won't tell her about my doily research though...such sick fetishes might be grounds for pre-emptive divorce...

Not quite, but even if she was down here wanting a ride do you think our wives would agree?
