Been a long time since I've been on here, but it's been a long time since I've been on my bike too.
Kids happened and priorities changed (as they do), spending all day at a ride was a little bit selfish and my kids aren't old enough to come out with me (yet). Plus the 350SXF isn't the right bike to potter around behind my daughters, doing 2kph...
Sadly, while I had intended to still go on the occasional ride, all my ride buddies have sold up and moved on, so the bike has just sat there, on it's stand, for 3 years.
I'm fully aware of the issues with not touching a bike for that long, I chucked a new battery and some fresh fuel at it on the weekend and it started up nicely, no smoke or bad noises, but that doesn't mean there's not problems waiting to happen. One of my old ride buddies wants to buy it, but he's offering silly money. I'd like to sell it to him, but his offer would hurt.
I had planned to take it for one last ride at Woodhill, if it survived I'd stick it on $1 reserve on TM with a full disclosure of it's history and let the market figure out the value. But if my mate wants it, I'd rather know a bit more about what I should reasonably expect (and I am very reasonable in this respect).
Apart from it's lack of use, it is tidy enough for a bike I was very good at falling off of, still only about 80hrs on it from new (I'm the only owner) and at best I was only ever a very average rider... definitely hasn't had a hard life with me in charge of the throttle.
Any help appreciated, I'd prefer to wait until I get some of your opinions before mentioning what I'm being offered...
