I have just read the Confidence and Supply agreement between Labour and NZF. http://www.beehive.govt.nz/Documents/Files/NZFirst.pdf

Note this part: "Evaluate the costs and benefits of de-merging traffic enforcement from the police"

"De-merging" was one of Winston's campaign promises as was recruiting more cops, (another 1000 have been promised under this Govt whereas Labour had campaigned on providing only 250 more community constables). I bet making consessions to Winston leaves a real shitty taste in Helen's mouth.

He won't get the de-merge, but will probably get the extra 1000 cops. That'll boost the revenue won't it, 1000 more ticket writers doing their bit for Helen?

Wouldn't that be a normal part of duties on occasion...? You could just use work as an excuse...

I have it on good authority that not only did Clark have to agree to Winston's demands,but he insisted she swallow as well.
