buckled or unbuckled, just wouldn't be surprised to hear that it wasn't a full-face.

I unintentionally left my helmet unbuckled _once_, nearly crapped my panties when I lifted my head coming down the mway and it started to slide up over my nose.

never made the mistake again. praps this guy just had the worst luck ever with the crash happening on the day he forgot to do up his d-rings.

thing is, most offs under I dunno, 80kph, you're probably not going to bang your head coz they're usually lowsides and you'll just hold it up and slide. murkn freeways and stuff with big clear areas around them, not much chance of hitting hard things on the slide either so its prolly safer than your average NZ back road.

but highsiding at _any_ speed, or coming off in messy over-the-bars fashion, or going for a slide fast enough to leave the road and bounce through ditches, you never know when your head's going to collect something and lights-out.

    so yeah. your lucky.

RIP dude. Please all, be careful out riding. I know it was quite likely not his fault, but we need to not only watch our own riding but every other driver in our direct vicinity as they don't seem to always look out for us!
    .....is the answer
