Honda C 50

Hi , I got my 1975 Honda C 50 going again , I know it's not a "real " bike but fun to use short distance .
It starts well and runs well till it get's to a good running temprature .
Than it starts back fireing and when I reduce refs it stalls ( stop at intersection ,etc ) and is very hard to get going again .
Does anyone have a suggestion what's wrong with it ?
I just fitted a new spark plug , new battery , cleaned the carb and drained tank and filled with new petrol .

I don't think it's the choke - checked that . The fuel cap would be a nice easy fix - I'll check it out .
Not sure about the ignition system , how can I tell ? It has a battery ( and did not start with the old broken one ) .
Is the condenser the silver thing next to the battery , o does it sit with the coil ?

What is the ignition system (magneto? battery and coil?) - failing when hot is a symptom of coil or condenser break down

Sounds like the choke is on.
Make sure the fuel tank cap still breathes as well.
