Sorry Draco, I'm going to have to bail. Something else has come up that I don't want to miss out on for that weekend.

Put me down if you ever run this again.
Speed limits are just a suggestion, like pants.

It's been a rough day. I got up this morning, put on a shirt and a button fell off.
As I ran out the door, I picked up my briefcase, and the handle came off.
Now I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.

Hold yer horses ,it's still a little way off yet.....Draco'll be in touch if she likes the look of ya.
She's really looking for guys with their heads screwed on (read mature) as some of these chickies have never done this before. If you want to let her know how much riding experience you got and yer boyscout rank etc. it'll help with the decision process.

Sounds like you'll have no problems getting volunteers for this gig!

I've got spare gear, pant(32) /jacket(M)/helmet (L & XS)/Gloves. Don;t mind riding two up if need ed as well.
If not I might just bring me missus or one of my crazy chick mates along for the ride!

    Sound like fun anyways.......

    OFFTOPIC:

But seeing as this is pillion volunteers it seems appropriate.
Took the wheelie balast out the other day and noticed the front getting a little flighty when hitting small bumps while accelerating. What adjustments can i make to the bike to stabilize her a bit more??

This has possibilities for a well organised event for charity as stated in an earlier post, but functionally don't just keep it Auckland based, i.e if this is a genuine Nurses ride/run then promote it as a regional operation. As nurses do get transfered to other hospitals so they ( the nurses) could organise with other hospitals around the country as their bound to know nurses at other centres.
It could be promoted as Kiwibiker & Nurses Charity Run? with proceeds going to the likes of the Westpac Helicopter Service etc ( they would be a good candidate) as when we as motorcyclists are involved in accidents be it road or off-road in rural areas who is usually called into service?

It would promote both Bikers & Nurses and draw attention to the Westpac Service , which operates nationwide on a shoestring budget
and as we all know they do a bloody good job in all respects!
not trying to pull thoughts away from the likes of toy-runs & kids Hospitals but these do get a reasonable amount of focus anyhow & plus in cases Westpac is vital to kids lives also

think it over and make something solid from it.

I myself have had 7 operations in the last 10yrs and know well n truely what a great job Nurses do & have also bared witness to the amazing job that westpac does ( they're the heros of the "Golden Hour") living where i do they've attended twice to accidents at the infamous Chertsey Bend/ Rail crossing.

for what it's worth, and being serious (yeah, me? go figure....), best pillion achievement for me so far is to take the gf from Auckland to National Park on the back for the second time in her life of being on the back of a bike. Didn't scare her so much that she wants to get gear this summer and get out more. And this girl was scared of me flooring my 1 litre car when we first met...
