I came very close to buying a R6...
I grew up with Yamaha and Suzuki, so the brand loyalty thing I'm not sure about. Like yourself I just got what felt right and if I'd felt the want to be up frount of the pack, does anyone really think that I'd have brought a 600cc bike???

    Blah LOL GSXR's mmm

Suzuki lost the plot when they went to the K series ( long live the mighty slab side GSXRs, they were the machine of choice especially the LTD J series 1100 of 88') sure they have plenty of balls but why have most gone to twits? ( had great delight slicing 1 up around the summit rd in chch a while back, a l series 1100,the dude mmm, repsol honda leathers & not 1 scuff mark to be seen & he knew how to use the back brake too ) it will be interesting next year when the new hyabusa is released though, playing catch up to Kawasaki again check the new ZX14. and as for HDs why? sure their a cosmetic masterpiece & comfy longhaul plodders but why have something that a bike less than quarter the size can cut to pieces? if you want serious grunt try a Munch Mammoth ( 260hp cosworth donk )

I'm the first to admit that you'll have to slow down to have me riding with you. Nothing wrong with being taught and I'm very open to it. Passing trucks and cars no problems and once its run in and I've had plenty of practice I think I might even be able to pass Pritch, although I'm just as happy to ride behind him also.

GSXR's OK for mucking around on, but if you want to win anything (that counts).......
Just wait until Honda give up on those crap straight 4's and put an RVF1000 on the track. They'd be banned for cheating I'm sure

Is it true that the Suzuki MotoGP is so bad, that Suzuki couldnt find anyone to ride the injured Kenny jnr bike? John Hopkins has no team mate for this weekends round from Turkey.
Oh and as for you Juzzer....

Don't sweat it. I can't let you suffer like that so I will send you some Honda pictures to put up. That's the helpful KB spirit in action.
Let's hear what you think of the StreetRod. I rode the V-Rod and .. oh shit it was awesome. Saw a Nightrod for the first time at WMCC yesterday in a beautiful shade of dark blue. Even better looking than the V rod but I found the rear pegs didn't fit with the handlebar position- sort of odd way to sit but it comes with highway pegs so you get the best of the laid back V Rod and sportier Street Rod I suppose.
If the money existed I would probably go for a V Rod in the garage. When I'm too old for sports bikes or 'been there done enough of that' atleast there are heaps of cruisers to pick from.

That's pretty much how I feel too. Don't even look at cruisers and the like when I go into bike shops, maybe later in life if I'm still around??

Btw Sensei, Gixxers are a young mans bike...just how long can you handle it I wonder? Will you be a raving fanatic about them in 5 years or will you be singing the BMW/Goldwing praises??
