Certainly am. Haven't missed it since last year, oh right, but since I was 19 before that and getting my dose of Rona out of the way early so should be right.

Yep. Closest motel availability was Hawera so heading there on Christmas Day, then only about an hour to and from the motel on boxing day. Have bought grandstand tickets as a treat to ourselves because we haven't been for about 5 years. Just need the rain to stop now.

If the weather looks good, I could well be in, would do a round day trip from AK.

Being on the other side of the world, making a visit in person isnt an option.

The video pass for $39 was well worth it though. Good quality coverage, fast, close, exciting races and some commentary that was really on point.

    well done all involved.

I know Dunedin has a bit of a rep but that's taking it too far.

lol, me too bud. Will always remember my very first race there in 1971 ,in the rain ! The track was a lot more primative in those days too.
But we always did the meeting every year. 85 I moved to Aussie came back about 1998 and went a couple of years to watch.

No regerts !!! wonderful experience !

If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

Great that there is a street race left - I still miss Paeroa. But it would be a mission to get to from Auckland after Christmas Day. Next year we might be in Wellington for Christmas, and it would be doable from there.

And that is what prob makes event so special. The crowd has an essential provincial bogan element even by biker standards

I'd point out that there are actually three street races left. Just because Greymouth and Invercargill aren't in the North Island doesn't mean they don't exist.

I'm sorry, my North Island map of NZ doesn't show these towns?
