I've only just twigged that the new Mayor is Jules Radich who ran Uptown Motorcycles for some years. I remember him running a very quick Moto Guzzi with various riders at National level in the late 80's. Seemed to know what he was doing too.

Hope he will have a look at the fact that motorbike parking in town is almost at capacity with all these scroters on the road.

Manx Nortons, Hink was the man. I was in the Navy in 1987 or so, visited Gisborne while doing fisheries work. Hink came on board and got on the lash with us. Really fascinating guy.
