Yeah I always feel sorry for the poor buggers who have their houses flooded. Not just because I live on a river bank. Full credit to them if they can still smile after that.

We in the City.Pretty normal rainfall event for us.Very heavy rain at about 6 am this morning. But things are normal here with a bit of water in the basement .Some people not so lucky. Its a strange one with lots of seemingly fairly local events

Yeah left Up Rut about 10, got home about 6:30. Lunch at Tui about an hour, beer at Wanga about half hour. Filled the tank at rimutex and again at Sanson on the way to wanga, got home with (according to the display) 40kms left in the tank. It is a fun little bike and sons 675 is pretty damn good too.

Long weekend at the Mount, took the R1 as the forecast was so good. Took a wee detour on the way home up the west side of Lake Karapiro, one of the best rides in the Waikato. Stunning day, I even made the effort and stopped for a photo.

. . and all was going well till home time. Stream crossing.

Of course it's me that has a bath.

    Up to handle bar grip.

Plug out, lots of pumping out. Then 30min running.

    Home flush bottom end.

    Glad i had dry clothes.
Turns out Stream comes via Himalayas.

Yes, feels a bit like the weather gods are trying to make up for some of the shit we've had this year.

Rode some of my favourite roads in the North Waikato for the first time since February. Almost too nice a day because I kept slowing down to take in the views!

This is one of the peat lakes in the area.

I just opened KB on my laptop, which has a 4k monitor plugged in. I didn't realise the photos were being uploaded at full resolution. Modern phone cameras are impressive.
