Yes, and to turn right without indicating.

    It's approaching an intersection.

    You're welcome

Steak was a bit salty as I'd dry salt brined it for 24hr. To be expected I suppose.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Here's Rule 2.7 a). Part b) deals with flush medians.

    Passing on right
A driver must not pass or attempt to pass on the right of another vehicle moving in the same direction when—
    (a) approaching or crossing an intersection unless—
    (i) the roadway is marked in lanes and the driver can make the movement without the driver’s vehicle encroaching on a lane available for opposing traffic; or
    (ii) in any other case, the driver can make the movement with safety and with due consideration for users of the intersecting road;

I didn't see an indicator, although might have missed it as I wasn't following him.

I think you're trying to make a point here, but it escapes me. There was a ute between me and the vehicle that turned right, which meant I may not have had line of sight, especially if they only indicated for a short period.

It highlights why its not safe to overtake approaching an intersection, and also why you need to be very careful overtaking a line of cars. That could have easily been a right turn into a driveway.

I think a driveway is classified as an intersetion too. That very thing happened to a mate along Foxton Straights luckily he was able to turn with the car into the driveway

Yes in that it started out positive and carried on that way. Let's step past the pointless bickering.

The last 2 months have been great weather for riding in the north. Not much humidity and almost no rain. I changed the oil in the R1 on 1 March and it's already halfway to the next oil change!

    Got out Thursday morning 0900.
We had a couple of 4 deg overnight temps so a bit cool to start, here in the Horowhenua .

The long johns under the leathers and maybe an extra jacket now that Autumm is here ?

Bloody nice days ,clear and still , no wind.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

Another glorious wellington day, 4 days left before the reg expires so, off over the 'rapa exploring backroads between the hill and Masterton, from Mt Holdsworth across to the other side of the valley. Lots of bikes out. Had a pie and cuppa at martinboro ($17!!! which sets a new record for me) but was very nice.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Great work guys! Wish I was out there too.
Actually, I was. Went to cafe by park in the square. You don't have grey riding gear do you?

Was on my 450 and mate running in his CF800. Then we did a few light gravel roads to blood him a bit. Was me that nearly fell off when I drifted in the deep stuff. Drifted it out on the throttle a bit like I knew what I was doing, but luck more than keen instinct.

Couple of beers in a quiet conservatory setting. Bliss.
