Just to be a pedant, a meter measures, like what tells you how fast you are going. It' is not a measurement of distance.
Unless you are American. But they don't use the metric system so are hardly a reliable source of information.
Actually that rule applies for most scenarios.![]()

Well it had to come to an end at some stage. Today was not a glorious Wellington day.
Yesterday was,.
Sadly the only riding I did saturday was picking my bike up from 20k service. Usually I would have done this in the old days but I don't have time or energy presently.
So today I headed out and the bike feels more lively and visceral. Valves were OK as were throttle bodies so likely the placebo effect of spending lots of wonga.
That said new airfilter and probably new plugs could be equally to benefit.
Why did it handle better? Probably my state of mind, who knows?
Had a good ride, no pics. OK one.
As I got to Featherston my fingers on one side hurt a bit. New heated gloves were flashing red. Hmm. Turned grips up.
2 fingers were yellow when I got home and I couldn't feel them. Freaky. Put them in my mouth then some Luke warm water till they got OK. They are damaged and the reason why I bought heated gloves in the first place.
Charging battery. More research required. App had stopped working so not sure how much I set off with but they were fully charged and unplugged till I put them on.
Anyways it was a fine ride just to be out there.
Go enjoy your life and bikes while you can.
Pie. Steak cheese and bacon.

A stunning Sunday in Auckland. I wasn't planning on a ride but just too good not to. The downside was a very cold southeast wind - after half an hour I had to stop to change to the warm chamber of my winter gloves, which I've never needed in Auckland before. (Held Twin, best winter gloves ever.)
