it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

We left at 10. Was not wet overnight and didn't get freeze. I came back at 4.
You should come with us sometime Pete. If it's just me, I'm happy to go pretty slow these days. Does Pete M have a bike anymore? Geez I've lost contact with him now I think. Maybe the last time was when we picked up his SV in my van when he spangled it. Geez. While ago, what happened to the time?
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Well surprise day for weather. Was supposed to be a bit rubbish on and off. Had some rain coming out of Greytown but that was shortlived and when I got home it was so nice I took the adventure bike out to test it (other threads soon)
Glorious.

Well not as glorious. I went on an organised adventure run.
That morning I remembered I was allergic to group rides where I don't know everyone.
But they were nice guys and didn't see any dick head riding. Except for a beemer coming through us over the tukas . Yes we are on trail tyres. Hero. Almost took out guy ahead as I braked in case.
Anyway it rained and my peepee got damp and even the heated grips failed to fix that .
So turned back and went for the pie shop. Yum.

Had a ride to Otaki to attend Mike Dobsons funeral. Lots of bikes and people there .Some really nice old beemers and some modded ones too.
Decided to come back over Paekak Hill. The sun was out and the road was cleaner than last time. Really enjoyed it after a slighly sombre day. Lots of familiar faces not see for some time. Prolly many faces there not recognised too.
Michael or MD, he would answer most people who called him Mike.
Long time since i've seen anywhere near that many bikes at a send off, certainly the ratio of bikes to cars said it all, the man will be missed, I count us lucky including him that he got a bit of time to live, then with the new drug that time was extended, and then about ten days when he was not coming back from it, gave us time to digest it was real etc, RIP Michael
Yes I had the same thought, its gonna be chaos when we leave. Took a long time to get that main area sorted. And just like on the ferries there were people who started their bikes and sat there idling for ages before they could move. I could turn my bike around in the space I had around me.(right next to the Whiskey table) It took quite a while to get down the drive too
First ride for 5 weeks yesterday! Due to recovery from injuries after an accident at home and bad weather at the weekends recently. I'm feeling pretty stiff and sore this morning, but it was worth it.
Did some of my favorite roads in the North Waikato and it was great to have completely dry roads again. Very quiet, hardly anyone else out riding. I was having too much fun to stop for photos, but it was a good riding day apart from the wind at times.
Cold northeastly riding home on the Waikato Expressway, stopped at a Z for a wild mint hot chocolate. Yum!

Any day out riding is a good one. Had our 20th last night at a Taproom in Petone. I was wearing my mx gear, pots of silly dress. Not sure I'll make it out, looks a bit gloomy and we carried on bback home till 2.
Have a good one guys.
