Belated ride report 7th sept. Met up with F5 Dave at rimutex and compared 765Rs's I think mine is better, but I would say that , wouldn't I?

So, off over the hill, letting Dave lead the way. I was keeping up, but he may have been sandbagging. Turned off to martinboro, then left at the turn off to to Bidwells Cutting road, and almost straight away right into some other road that i can't find on Google Maps (this inability to locate the road may be a precursor to something else) - Anyway, a pleasant little chase and we ended up in Greytown for coffee and pie. Parked up, inside the cafe and orders placed. Weird feelings began - chills, sweats, tremors, inability to speak clearly, shaky trying to stand up. At this point i guess I was pretty fucked and survival from that point is pretty much dependent on Dave. It's amazing how long it takes to get an ambulance from Masterton to Greytown. I used the time to call my wife and explain that I hadnt crashed, once the bus turned up I was loaded in the back, things attached and printouts showing i was in the midst of serious myocardial infarction. Since then it's been a lot of hospital time - Masterton, Lower Hutt and Wellington - today I am home for the time since. major works have been five coronary arteries replaced using bits from one arm and one leg.
So, some above and beyond from Dave, who took quick action that may well have saved my life, and then after that got my bike home to Upper Hutt. Not really sure how I thank Dave for this.

Wow, great that you survived that one! My brother-in-law who lives in Welly went through something similar 3 years ago. He is doing really well now, but it was scary for a few weeks.
