It has a quilted liner for cold days but it's a bit tight so I just add a layer.

Yes I thought my old Leda Leathers Jacket would be better on a warm day than my "fabric" jacket. Probably slighly more breatable but the "fabric" jacket has many vents. The leather on the Leda jacket is quite thick though

Wondering, which make and model of jacket did you get?

My perforated leather jacket seems to be shrinking and I am considering replacing it, however perforated leather jackets are few and far between. Like you will need to go to an online shop.

So many people have trouble with leather jackets shrinking...

Dainese Avro. I bought it online as that jacket wasn't available in NZ back then, and I didn't notice that it was perforated. The zip died a few years ago and was replaced, which I understand is common as Dainese don't use decent zips.

It's getting on for 10 years old and looks due for replacement. I wear it pretty much year round because the armour and back protector seem more substantial than in my other jackets.

Ha. It was Dusty who actually confirmed to me that leather shrinks when I got my jacket extended inseam. Then again I got it as a skinny 17yr old. His next jacket/pant still fits but has been retired when I got the airvest. Still (Alpinestars) pants were queer fit so he altered those. Puffy legs to get the right waist. I have a middle aged body but you wouldn't think to call me Fatty Mc Fatface. Unless you were one of my so called friends. . .

Oddly the Adventure set of Alpinestars textile pants was exactly the same. He altered those the same way earlier this year. Still a legend.

I'd check perforated safety rating on motocap website. Can be cool and protected. But some manufacturers i wouldn't trust to get the 2nd bit properly catered for.

I can assure you both that this jacket is not the first bit of leather bike gear that has shrunk.

The "coolest and safest" perforated jacket according to Motocap is the RST TracTech EVO 4 Mesh which is available in NZ for $550. However, it comes in black only and if you want a perforated jacket why buy a black jacket? My present jacket is a Spidi Evorider with white front and back panels and I'm thinking about a Mugenrace perforated jacket from FC-Moto at $450 plus shipping.

Well, you live in Wellington. It gets a bit warmer in other parts of the country.

Auckland is a great place to live, but we keep it quiet as there's too many people here already.

Well the Hutt, - Wellington can get crowded but it still OK off peak.
People who argue we need more people for the economy or some reason have rocks in their head.
