We are so lucky to live in a place like this. Bit of a drive but still accessible.

Decided to give up here. We'd done our ride for the day and if was getting a little imprecice for rockfaces.

Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

    Golly this is nice.

Smoker on bbq and pressed (smashed in new genre) burgers on soon which home made chips. Doesn't get much better for a Sunday. Almost a shame I don't have work tomorrow.
Actually there's a bit of cloud cone over the deck.
    Gimmie my sun back. 🌞

You can't be much older than 62, how. Is that possible? Did your mum take you in a baby sling?

Never been only because it's a long way from Auckland. I'm working on it though... maybe a family Christmas in Whanganui next year?

63 three mid year meetings in the mix and a father who'd raced there in the 50's and wouldn't miss it.

North Waikato back roads today, most people are at the beach so nice and quiet.

Lunch at the Rongo as the cafe next door was closed.

I did the same. There was some pretty thick fog in the Waikato this morning. But once it cleared it was a nice ride.

I saw the forecast and didn't leave Auckland until mid-morning. The motorways heading home were free flowing, which was nice.

Was a bit of rain at racing but was dry for ages

Out on the deck for a bbq. Had the guacamole.

    Steak about to go on.

Might need an umbrella. . .

Woke up to no wind or rain! Still showers on the rain radar so may wait until the weekend.

Lots of broken branches on trees around here. It was a wild couple of days.
