I really appreciate the cinematography of this one.

I haven't been able to ride for 4 months, probably another couple to go. I got to about 6.5 minutes and couldn't take anymore classical music with undertones of farty single, shakey camera and close ups of letting clutch out veeerry slowly.
Never got to the point of why we ride.
Is it for the biscuits?

Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
My head hurt after the first couple of minutes of that.
That's what you see when you don't turn your head and looks through corners.

Time to ride
Wow, you guys have a lot more patience than me!😁
Only a Rat can win a Rat Race!
Another part of what made me wonder if it was shot from a car comes back to my initial thoughts of shit lines. I could not understand, why traveling on a left hand road system would he constantly Hug the centre line on left hand corners. I just had another look and there is very little arcing that you would expect from a motorcycle - but I also noticed that on the occasional tight left it did look like the camera was quite close to the left hand side of the road - so.....dunno!
This reminds me that we don't realise how good Noralee of Itchy Boots is, until we see the efforts of others. Some guys with helmet cams move their heads so violently I feel I'm going to be thrown out of my chair. This is somewhat similar.

Was out on the bike for over 5 hrs Friday, neat weather.
(5 hrs is a little bit long for me these days ). Still love motorbikes but 3 or 4 max is plenty for me.
So ,it's pissing down today but I'm still smiling cos I've had my weekly ride !
ps oh and the new Michelin Road 6's stick like shit to a blanket !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..
That time away includes stops for the cigars n coffee, but as I said 5 Hrs is too long for me,3 Hrs mostly. Up 57 from Levin over Saddle or pahiatua Track to Woodville, Danyjerk , Pahiatua . Back roads with fav bits where I can do my thing.
I'm not a cruiser or long distance bloke I'm a afraid.
The old days were more Whitby / Pram , Piecock, Rimatukas to MartinB for breakfast.
(But those were much more furious so elected to stop that once I was into my 60's lol.)
Ride alone these days ,so I'm not tempted so much. Have one mate that is still riding over in Martin B but thats it,all others have given it away. Oh, Dave Hissy still has a VFR1200 over in Newcastle. (and with a grin ,says he can still keep up on rides over there. !!!!! lol.

Didn't ride for 2 years, because Marion couldn't, so I wouldn't - not fair to her when riding was such a part of her life (licence at 14!). A week after she died, I took the XJR cautiously down to the shops (15km each way) and decided I was rusty, but still had it. Done 1600kms on 3 bikes the last month - it keeps me sane and helps the recovery .....
