    hd at sturgis 2024

... looks like robbie starbuck has struck again ... his successful push-backs against both tractor supply's and john deere's wokeism seem to be repeating themselves

... numbers at the hd stand at sturgis 2024 have been very low

... mind you, after having experienced sturgis myself 5x over the last 30 yrs, it has evolved into a soy-soup of posing and branding, shades of the original are still to be found, pushed to the fringe

... was overtaken the other day by a group of (surprisingly clean) 'club' members, all riding hd ... made me wonder how they feel about all the wokeism now coming from zeitz, ceo since 2020

... lots of talk about buying indians ... i guess blackrock and vanguard will now focus on acquiring a controlling interest in them too

    Leather.
    Tassles.
    Studded luggage.
    Dubious facial hair.

The HD image has always been a bit, erm, diverse when you look at it without rose tinted cowboy glasses on.

Dib dib dib and all that.

Shade tree surgeon covered this well during the early days of MDB vs Harley.

Watch from 11 min mark for core message. Love his quote about if a left handed lesbian Eskimo midget designed a bike called the cock gobbler 5000 he’d buy it if it was a good bike.
You can’t live your life worrying about what a faceless corporates politics are, it gets tiring real quick working out where you can shop, cancel culture kinda self cancels pretty quick.
Let’s not forget all these people during covid that said they’d never buy anything from China again…. let alone all the Russian war sanctions too. The us govt is still buying titanium from them albeit through “independent contractors” who are clever about transshipping through right places and making big profits.

... enjoyable delivery, he admits himself to believing in free market capitalism - makes him an altruist in a nonaltruistic world

... much of current political and economic thought stems from straussian interpretation of platos noble lie and belief that nihilist controllers should reinvent the judeo-christian god, but live like pagan gods themselves taking pleasure in the games they play with each other as well as the games they play on ordinary mortals

... so you get investor classes like blackrock, vanguard etc that take, say 18% between them in hd, interest in a company, install their own board members, or simply manipulate supply/distibution lines to a company until they install dei policies - no free market theory here

... cartels, monopolies, sanctions, embargoes, etc ... all good free market strategies im sure

... cancel culture only self cancels once it starts eating itself, until then the only option you have is with your wallet, anheuser busch found that out the hard way
