Ho ho ho, who's a funny c&nt then? Well, my evil freind, I have found the appropriate codec all by my widdle self..... but my PC is so old and decrapped (somewhat like it's owner) that it can't cope. So I am currenlty saving it as a VCD so I can play it on my DVD player. Given current progress, sometime after xmas I will be able to veiw a fuzzy image on my TV....

i have been to the iom TT for the past few years and you cannot describe the feeling, standing on SULBY STRAIGHT at the pub/church junction the top riders were clocking 194 mph official on basically dodgy back roads. They almost leave a vapour trail when they go through sulby junction its that quick the wind sucks all the cigarette ends and ash out the ashtrays outside the pub. It really is an experience, the down side is there is always alot killed that they dont publicise, 13 last year and even more injured badly.

The IOM has its own government, and the TT is big revenue for the whole island, 50,000 residents normally, 80,000 visitors during TT fortnight. so anything negative is kept very very low key as there has already been talk of stopping the races. you will only hear of big names like Dave Jeffries getting killed. most accidents/deaths are anounced over the tannoy system as "RETIREMENTS". As you can imagine 80,000 visitors incorporates thousends of young crazy bikers riding the course during Mad sunday which obviously ends in tragedy. This year i spoke to a paramedic who had been recruited along with his work partner from mainland uk, his partner worked in accident and emergency but went home after 3 days becouse he couldnt cope with picking up the pieces.
Having said that the whole week is absolutly fantastic.

Sorry Wil, but the true facts are, there may have been 13 killed, but most of those were the public! people riding around the track when the roads are open to the public and going to dam fast and pissing of all the locals, this is the true trouble at the TT. The locals are getting sick of all the interuptions to there life style. As you will know Wil, the place is bloody hecktic, imagine being a non bike fan and having 1000's of mad bikers riding around your little town all day and night causing hesd on crashes and killing your best mates wife and daughter.

Sorry again, should have read further. Your point here about Mad Sunday was what I was getting at, these are the riders that are going to get the TT stopped! They should stop the mad sunday bit! I have seen some things that made me feel the way you describe the medics fealt.

yeah, i didnt say they were all racers. mainly dickheads thinking they are as good as racers, too much testosterone and not enough brain. I think this is why they call it "MAD SUNDAY" riding the course on mad sunday is a big risk, so many riders all with different degrees of experience just a big dangerous trackday. we normally park up on a good bend and watch the space.
