    Pardon?
The GN250 has shitloads of bottom end and tears away from the lights, they have to do illegal speeds to catch up.
Which is really good if you've seen a disco car recently...
*cough* I've done that too many times in the last year

Guy was obviously an inexperienced driver....the 20v would have given you a big fright in the right hands.

VT250 should be similar performance to an CBR250R, right? Meaning 0-100 sub 7 seconds...

That should take most non-turbo Jappers under 2.5 with ease.

Please don't tell me it was in a car park where you were leaving him behind... I so hope you were on the open road mate, gotta be sporting chance..

Besides we all know that cars cn only dream of the power to weight ratios that we run!

CBR and VT are 2 different bikes, sub 7 sec is a dream for most 250 riders.
Also on a another note bigger motor doesnt mean better time in cars, Caterham has 0-100 in 3.7sec, using an 1800 non turbo.
    Same said for Areil Atom.
From recall the 20v or the suchaged levin does 6.8sec, but dont quote me on that. Once you got to dragwars or something similar you realise quite quickly that cars arent as slow as they were in the 80's.
The only reason i prefer bikes is cos cars are too 'fake' these days, bikes have essentailly remain similar to what they have always been.

Jeeze, how quickly a post can turn into a bun fight eh? We've all got stories about trouncing some dude in a hot car. Like the time yeeeeaaars ago when my $1500 FZ400R absolutely trounced a guy in his then new and VERY expensive Audi quattro turbo from the lights onto open road- very satisfying.

Telling stories both tall and true about our exploits is a part of the biker culture. Instead of picking Gamgees tale to bits, maybe we should be adding our own?

Yeh sorry Gamgee, my bad...Just the car vs bike thing never dies.
Bikes are better, but in my experience not always faster.....but then again i have been fortunate enough to quite a few fast drivers out there.
