    oh and your cool.
Sounds about right, I've taken my car and motorbike down the strip, in My 1995 Vtec Prelude I got 14.86@152k/hr (came second in the second Honda vs Toyota drag day 2 litre's and over). And on my 1990 CBR250RR I got 14.3@147k/hr. The bike was on a really shit day where there was mud and crap on the track, had to launch softly, cause I was losing rear traction. But my point is that you'll notice that the car had the higher trap speed, which means it has better acceleration once you get over 100k/hr, but its about 6 seconds 0-100, whereas the bike is about 5 flat (when you don't have traction issues). There's not that many cars including turbos that do faster than 5 flat. So a screaming 250 should deal to nearly any car from the lights. Just you'd have no show on the motorway or even open road, but that would be naughty anyway.

P.S. Justsomeguy, wait till you get a 600 or larger, and then you'll show the gallardo how to do it. Can't wait, I'll be getting a 600 at the end of the year... not long now.

Porsche Cayenne kicked my fat arse in a straight line a while back. Still, those things do have a trillion turbos, 8 litres, and 13.5 or so cylinders...

Oh, and a rich poo in the drivers seat :-)

from experience, a screaming 250 (CBR,ZXR,FZR, GSXR) will take nearly any non turbo car off the lights... soon as you meet a hill or 140kmh(ish) the car will start to take control of the 'race'...

try 6th gear acceleration better than most modded cars out on the road... a lot of fun.

i was speed matching these arabs in a Libero... was so funny to see him 'racing' me, while i sit there on his tail thinking 'when should i drop the bomb'... i backed off when we got to 175kmh on the southern motorway at 10.30am... figured it wouldnt be the best time to be breaking the speed limit on a main highway

Good idea just letting that one go Gareth. Its not worth getting busted. Plus at 175k/hr you don't have too much speed left to get on the 250. I've managed 190 on a slight down hill gradient.

Yeah thats exactly right - I can stay with (if I start dragging at 130~) a dc2 teg type R till about 180 and then they will pull away as cars always have that top end (better power to aero drag ratio). We need a needle shaped bike or something that just powers through the air
