on a screaming 250 you woulda got him off the line and maybe a few 100m til his car kicked in but then you could kiss your ass goodbye (unless you were lucky to have a phantom* edition ZXR like john does)

Dude, there's no way a levin would pass a screaming 250 within half a mile (800m) of the start, and it would only start gaining on the bike once you got over 150-160k/hr. Levin's (20v) have an unproven 165 HP, my prelude has over 200 HP, and it is still well behind the bike at the end of 400metres, over half a second to be accurate. I don't think I've ever seen a Levin break 15 seconds for the quarter, and the 250 is capable of 14 flat.
P.S. HP figures are from the flywheel not at the wheels, and the Levin's figure is disputed.
