How long do think the back straight is? has to be at least 1km.

On another not there was a class for adventure bikes to race???? some had tail bags and tank bags still attached....and most had working lights including brake lights?????? whats with all that NZ motorcyclists? Is it a reaction to all the pot holes and ruined roads?
    One of these
    Championship Classes:
Super Moto Class 251cc to 450cc 4 Stroke
    201cc to 300cc 2 Stroke
Maximum wheel size to be 17 inch, front and back.
Brake, engine and suspension tuning permitted. This is the main individual event

    Super Moto Open Class 455cc to 700cc 4 Stroke 301cc to 700cc 2 Stroke
Any modification to wheel sizes, brakes, engine and suspension tuning permitted.

The straight is 830 m. It seems unusual to have the chicane right at the end, otherwise that last corner would be a great passing opportunity, which the track needs.

nope, neither of those classes ran on the long straight, it was way way shorter, there were a huge amount of passes on that corner leading into the chicane and the chicane itself, i commentated all the races except the adventure bikes, and it was one of the busiest places to pass.

It is actually a good place to pass into
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

So who did the winning ? Do we have any Kiwis to kick arses ?

I got out for a ride today,(first in 8 or 9 wks after new knee was fitted).

Ran into Bill Biber and Michael Dobson in Pahiatua. Hadn't seen them for years !!!
    Nice to get out.,

I'm not complaining as we were in the stand and it was certainly entertaning! But it just seems like an unusual layout.

Enjoyed your commentary, although all we could hear was the interviews after each race.

I sat in the stand on the embankment. The sound system was "Attention in the pits" loud and clear but the rest was just some guys talking about something.
A bit of info about each race would have helped me as I didnt cough up on a program being a dodgy old umemployed pensioner who owns a motorcycle.
But then I might not have heard that either.

Yes, the pit announcements were loud and clear. The programme was really for Whanganui but at least had the race schedule.

How was the knee? It must be the season for knee replacements as I know quite a few people who've had or are about to have one.

Yeah, they seem to be pushing them thru...

I've got 110 degrees bend, so can sit on the bike just. Sitting back a bit helps which I do anyway. I figured with the knee on the peg bending a bit with all the bouncing, it was like physio . hahaha
The old gsx1400 is good and comfy so ideal .

Knee still a bit fat so if that sorts itself, movement will improve hopefully ? But hey, its only been just 9 weeks as the wife keeps telling me...

Yep, I do physio here in Levin, but honestly the only thing that pushes the joint is the cycle machine.
The other patients in the class seem to have trouble with the stairs and a few other tests.

I'm doing 45 minutes each time. Some can't do it and have had success by pedaling backwards ??? Well not pedaling .....trying to pedal !!!!
I reckon they'll be signing me off next week ?

Been driving the rideon and pushing the rotorcut since day one....

Oh you're one of those, one physio said, with a laugh ! Slow down !!!
