Revelation. The old tyre terrified me in deep gravel. There was one road in West Mauriceville that I started down 2 weeks ago and turned around after 2 corners. Did it right through today.

And it's as good on the road, which is it could be a road tyre. Well. A 21" one mounted to an oversized trailbike, but you get the point.
Even got a bit frisky . Fantastic choice.

    Currently, no, not really.

About 10 weeks ago, I sprained my thumb doing acrobatics on my dirtbike. I rode the CF for the next few weeks as I figured it had the highest bars. It was excruciating the first time. The next few were a bit better. Turns out it is the worst thing gripping a throttle and squeezing a (weak) brake (yet to change to those pads i got from you).

So finally went to hand place and got a splint thingy. And several weeks of not riding. Rode the 765 yesterday which is actually easier as you are more weight on outer palms than thumb web.

So, not fault of the bike. Might try a short ride next week.

Yesterday I did finish fitting the upper crash bars that finally arrived a week back.

    Bars fitted.

Time of year to fit heated grips that came my way.

People keep asking. And I mean every time, about the ocky strap at the back.
Well I won't keep you in suspenders.

    It's the Tuned Mass Damper.
Got the idea from MotoGP Dooclatteries.

Well I wasted 1/2 hr riding time looking for the brake pads I bought off Laava. The weren't with the brake pads. Finally found them as I was putting something away.

Took old ones out thinking they would be some generic. J.Juan pads like the caliper, and that would explain the lack of bite.

SBS HH. Oh dear. Still the Ferodo pads went in after a quick sand on flat surface.
3 applications and I could tell they were better. Thanks Laava.

Still think the mc should be smaller for more power, but it's acceptable.

Had a great ride. Must post pics on Wellington thread later.

How does it work? Can you like strap 5 meat pies onto the back, then eat them when you need some more forward weight bias? Genius!

BTW, thank you for giving all the information you are on this thread, awesome!

30 seconds into that video, my pet hate of off roading - some cretin stops in the snottiest bit of the track to see how those following are getting on. Usually it is the (single) exit of a river crossing.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
