Steve has planned and don't have GPS routes yet. Next we go lake Waikaremoana, then somewhere else I cant spell with a P near the coast and down a bit. Um poirangahou I think.

Well I've meant to do this for a while. Upgrade clutch springs.
The clutch is the lightest I've ever experienced. Some reports of clutch burning out. Worth fitting the Uncle Wang (yes really) stiffer springs. Supposed to be 20% stronger.
Net result is it is a stiffer pull but still super light.
I leant the bike over just a bit more than sidestand thanks for clue that perhaps I didn't need to lay it over.
Easy swap. New 3Bond.
Springs slightly longer and stiffer. I compressed them against each other in the vice and the new springs were longer than old.
It's not much but glad to have a tickle more pressure when you dump the clutch and want it to bite again.
I had a look at first steel and no sign of bluing.
They gave us another bearing for pressure plate so fitted that as it was in kit.

I starred out from Wairoa thinking of staying there on way to collect wife in Opotiki the next day.
I was on my RF9 and assumed pre Google that maybe it was sealed a lot of the way from that side.
It was not and the RF was not the bike for the job.
Turned back and spent night in Wairoa hut with bike chained to post near door.
Walk into town for food was interesting.![]()
