This is an old road being bypassed. You can see the old road to the left of the screen at the beginning. Playtime! They are spending billions taking all the fun out of it.

I know that road well, it's been a mess for a few years now. The Awakino Gorge is mostly neutered now, that used to be a fun ride!

The new road is for the trucking companies, can you imagine how much it will save them but the public will pay for it one way or another.
