Sweet Yoshi, I'll try to take you up on that after exams aye.

I honestly don't mind if I get the learn...'cos life is all about learning

I've just never been beaten by a car on a decent bit of road, and that's disappointing for one with a fraction over 2 years' riding experience.

Toast: It aint no fable mate i know some of them, and there's even one or two lurking here that i know of that are more than capable of piloting a cage quicker than a bike.
Unless it's Bruce Anstey or Lance Lowe on the road, most of us are easy game.
Sorry, fable was an inaccurate term...I know they're out there for sure. At this Porsche driver training day I went to with my Dad once, amongst other things I saw a GT3 braking for the hairpin at Puke with a Careera Cup driver behind the wheel and was blown away by the stopping power of that thing.

On the shit surface of our roads it'd be even more up to the task of smoking a bike...

Just can't wait for my first go at a real one on the road

Same applies for a bike rider too, and i think you'll find madboy busts about anything in his car even without a new bit to put into it and still haves fun. He's one of the better cage pilots that i know and that poxy GSR of his would scare many, if he still had it, mind you if he still had it, it would prolly be in peices waiting in the garage.
GSXR wiping the shit that is that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki off the road since '85'

I remember when I did the rally course last year. These guys would take corners faster than I ever thought possible, and make you feel safe as houses. A few have the talent to make a passenger feel safe when going hard.
    THAT I really respect!

Just to add a little more to this debate - what would happen if you turbo'd your favourite k5/busa/12r/10r etc etc
Don't just say "boom" you smartarses.

Stock bike vs reasonably modded car.... okay fair depending on how modded that car is.

Modded (turbo) bike vs heavily modded car... bit more like it. In the straights at least.

After watching ghost rider go past another bike on a busa at 340-360+ on one wheel makes me wonder if those fast 'zillas could really do much at all when compared to it.

And yes don't get me wrong, I realise that when the fastest bikes vs the fastest cars, cars will always win. And the usual rider/driver skill thing comes in to play as well.

    Damnit.

you want to chase some real cars and drivers?

    Option
1.) Follow the WRC rally cars from one stage to the other.
2.) Hide in one of the Targa stages after the start line, pick a car from the list (over 100 fast cars to choose from) and try to follow / pass it.

Man it's a relief to see that others here that own performance cars as well (Yoshi & LB). After reading so many posts anti anything with 4 wheels I was starting to think I was the only one here who enjoys the pleasures of both.

BTW, I think I've seen your car Yoshi, are you a member of SDU? and LB, I've driven one of those 6spd turbo Supras, wicked car straight out of the box.

Howdy all, this is an age old argument and one not worth getting into.

What I did want to ask was where you're getting you're information from TWR?! I helped start the Skylines down under club and pretty much know most things about GTRs and skylines in general.

Let me start by stating that there has never been a godzilla model, it's a nickname that the australians gave the R32 GTR race cars back in 89/90/91. Nissan have never put that name to it. If you've seen one then it's a custom badge.

There have been a crap load of R34s sold in this country and that's not counting the imported GTRs. As stated earlier you may have been referring to the NUR or N1 model although I would have thought there would be more than 2 of those in the country also.

I don't want to put you down but you're argueing with people like you know what you're talking about and i'm just clearing things up.

I raced a 355 spider onto the motorway on my NSR 250 a few years ago and stayed with him till about 120kms at which point he left me...We both slowed down and had a laugh about it.

(I find this in my MX5 too,I even had a Lambo Murcielago blast past me,then hold me up at the next corner in the MX)
And the boi's with no suspension even slow you on the straights,if the road gets bumpy.
