    we are Motorbikers...

A term I've not heard much of, how cool is it that we can tell our mates what we are?

Is it even a word? It's not in the dictionary I normally use and even Word doesn't recognize it.

Will you be happy if we get Oxford to include in next definition. ;p

I thought it was common as in kiwi colloquialisms, and at least it distances us a bit from “cyclists”

You’ll be pleased to know the trucking community gets as aggrieved over accident articles when some journo says a truck and trailer has crashed but it’s actually a b-train combination or a semi instead.

Could be handy in a court case though if a witness keeps referring to a speeding motorbiker…

With decline in education system over last 20 years there’s a lot of people who can’t speak proper English 100% let alone write it. Stuffs catering for its target audience and the abilities of its own staff, proper grammatical editing is just not in their budget for a low cost product that no one’s buying.

I am sure jellywrestler is speaking about these "mates" like some wish-en-washy people talk about unicorns or dragons, purely theoretical. I certainly don't have any of these "mates" they speak of.
Compare Pornography now to 50 years ago.
Then extrapolate 50 years into the future.

If I eat enough of the special (but not special in the Erin Patterson way) mushrooms I can see dragons AND unicorns.

Where's Fred Gassit when you need him?

Bikie is Aussie slang, so has made its way here over the years. Biker I think originated in the US?

Bikkies are what you find in a cookie jar.

A mate sent me a photo last week of when the Hells Angels came down to New Plymouth and displayed their flag which i won't repost here as I don't think they were Hindus and some unpleasantness is associated with the flag since a Shouty Austrian used it for his political party in tge late 30s/40s

Anyway it was 1966 outside the cop shop where his dad worked.

It is ironically hilarious. There's all of 4 of them and none look like the sharpest tools in the shed.

    Grrr Grrr.
