Now and forever
you're just another lost soul about to be mine again
see her, you'll never free her
you must surrender it all
And give life to me again
Disturbed - Inside the Fire
Hmm liking it but I feel it could have been so much, well, 'rougher' more 'raw'. It looks to 'clean' like it has lost its back-street hotrod bruiser edging and gone to private schooling.
The front end still looks to skinny for the bike - OK in the 80's on the original as no one knew any better - why not a chunky inverted unit, take the Warrior front from their parts bin. I was over the signature fax air scoops two decades ago - I'd have lowered the overall 'tank' height and played on the top fueller look and had some type of visible air filter popping up through the top of the tank.
I am impressed with the engine finish and the foot peg machining, but again I would have drilled holes all over it in bits and pieces to give it that drag strip look.
Apparently when the MT thingy was listed as a Yamaha product a couple of years ago in the US, hundreds of people put down deposits thinking it was the new V-max. They got neither but you can bet whatever the new one looks like it will sell well.
