Arrow "Close Up" on TV1 tonight 24/10/05

Two guys have travelled the world on their motorbikes.
Left NZ as friends and came back friends....

    Worth having a look at.

    Cool

Des and Dick travelled nearly 20,000km in 20 countries.
One rode a 655cc Panther and the other rode a 600cc Triumph Norton

Sorry I didnt catch the years the bike were made in, but they were old bikes.

The son of one of them, filmed their 3 month adventure.

A Triumph Norton is called a Triton - but I doubt if someone would ride around the world on such a hybrid.Triumph never made a 600,but Norton made 600s in both singles and twins...guess it might be a Norton?

Paul Henry the dude hosting Close Up said it was a Triumph Norton..
but it was a really old bike... I think they were talking older models...I think...

But I dont know those types of bikes.

Wished I had taped it now.... to play it back to get the years of the bikes.

Paul Henry is your typical uneducated presenter. The bike in question is a Norton Dominator 99.
