Yikes! Is it a straight line monster good only for quarter miles, or does it go around corners too?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Damm!! That must surprise a lot of newer sports bikes that probably think it'll be easy prey !!

What 1/4 time have you done on it ??

It runs in both standard height (handles better than the ZX12 did) and lowered for drag racing,I've only managed a 10.7 on a very slippery track and with a slipping clutch. Its so bloody powerful it's a handful to launch properly(but very entertaining according to my mates that have seen me run)....But I'm working on a way to make it easier......

Yeh,cycle world or someone (it was a long time ago....)managed a 10.8 way back when they were new....
The Yanks always seem to run real fast times compared to the rest of us....we've had a big discussion on this on the Gixx site.....they've got plenty of video footage to back up some of their times (on gixxers)Some of the guys are running low 10's on stock 600's.....the best I ever got out of the ZX12 was 10.5!
My mission is to get mine into the 9's.....if I can get the launch sorted it should be easy.....

Some tracks favour some bikes. I've done a 10.58 on my poor 600 which is pretty spectacular.

Hey Death. Just checked out your profile. Love the GPZ but imagine my supprise on seeing the Gixxer! Have you just bought that recently?

I think it used to belong to a mate of mine. If it is, you couldn't of got a better bike. He never let me ride that one

Just checking out the bike while covering it up after its days outing and I would say that 15,000km appears to be enough for the front 020. Hi ho hi ho it's off to Motorad I go...

!0,000 out of a rear Avon AV46ST, probably had another 1000 in it. I've done 5000 on the new Avon (3000 touring) and it's nowhere near 1/2 worn, at that rate I'll get 12,000.

Nah, he's not a cop. He traded it at Holeshots on a K3.

I'm sure it's the same bike though.

Yeh,that'll be it then....that's where I got it from.....
You're right it's a great bike, that's why I got it back.....I've bought it twice now from holeshots ....I bought it new back in '00,kept it a couple of years then traded it at bay city for a ZX12,some guy bought it,had it for a while and traded it back to bay city on a ZX12 too!(he must have been the cop Andy said owned it...)then your mate must have got it.My mate spied it in holshots and told me so I went for a look and the rest is history
The only thing is that I've sold all the good bits I had on it before
