Sometimes they *aren't* out to get you

Rode up to the shops in Takapuna this morning. On the way back a young chap driving a car happily blew through a roundabout from my left as I entered it... if I hadn't seen him coming and braked in expectation of the event I would have been collected.

Naturally I tootled upon my horn with vigour and made various gestures in his direction, at which point his head snapped round and the look of horror on his face was *priceless*.

We then pulled up at the lights; he was a car length behind me. I hear a yelled "Hey!", look round, and he's leaning out the window, waving and yelling "terribly sorry" at me. He really looked quite worried.

Cage drivers don't hate us, they're just in a little happy place where we happen to be invisible.

Good to hear and see they're not all arse holes and some do realise the potential consequences of their actions.

I had a similar thing in Wgtn one night. Out partying with some guys from work, waiting to cross Courtenay Pl at Tory St. Some boy racer Fucktard in a WRX storms through the red light at about 65kph. Almost shit ourselves!

So we wander a bit further up Courtenay and low and behold, he's done his lap of the basin and is heading back! We quickly start crossing a pedestrian crossing forcing him to stop and prepare to drag him from his cage to have a quiet chat. What do you know, he jumps out of car going "Fuck! Are you guys alright?! I can't believe I did that! Christ, I'm so sorry!"

We're all just standing in the middle of the road scratching our heads going "Um......yeah. Just make sure you don't do it again. Drive carefull."

Shouldn't of happened in the first place but occasionally, they've got the balls to take responsibility for their actions.
