sort of old, I'm 29. I got into bikes as a teenager although only ever progressed up to 2 stroke 250s. I stopped riding after a while and got into cages in a big way. I'm now getting back into it.

Congrats on the new bike mate.

I don't want to come across as a gloater but I'm bloody crapping my pants with excitement as I pick up my brand spanking new VTR250 today! WOOOHOO
I'm probably a little bias, but I'm sure you'll love it. She is a very comfortable bike to ride long distances. I picked mine up in Wanganui and rode home to Auckland the next day.

Note that she is a she, treat with love and attention and you will have no problems at all...

I've been looking at getting back into riding bikes for a while and have taken out CBR250rs and ZXRs etc. My mate and I have decided to do a tour of NZ next Jan so the only real choice was a VTR250 for comfort levels ofcourse. The CBR would have been bloody uncomfortable on a long trip like my old NSR250

Look forward to seeing other KBers on the road and hopefully on trips.
Enjoy the bike and ride safely

Man I've been riding for about 3 or 4 hours today and already had one guy want to have a fight with me! What is it with dickheads being anti bikers.

I came to a round a bout and to the left is a semi blind corner, I turned left when out the corner of my eye I see his truck come hauling down the hill he then sat on my ass till the next set of lights where I proceded to hit the brake fairly hard. We pulled up and he just unloaded abuse at me. I was very tempted to punch on but I managed to control myself (thats a first)

the lights change and he took off before me and pretty much got along side me and ran me off the lane i was in. Needless to say not happy.

I've got his company details from the back of his flat deck so I'm going to ring them tomorrow and blow the boss up.

They're all tuff till you get off the bike.

Oooooo.. Bring back the old RD250!
It's been a rough day. I got up this morning, put on a shirt and a button fell off.
As I ran out the door, I picked up my briefcase, and the handle came off.
Now I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.
