Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
Inline 4 all the way. (I've tried a TL1000's a few times too)
Reasons for the inline 4:
1. Better Power
2. Easier torque curve to control
3. I love a screamer
4. They just seem to put the inline 4's in better and lighter bikes.
Reasons for the twin:
1. Better torque/Power on tap
2. Gruntier sound
Inline 4.
Twins are so last week.
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
Only ever owned and enjoyed Inline-fours. One day I'll buy a V-twin and be able to make comment...
i love the feeling of a v-twin throbbing between my legs..

Inline 4 firing order like a twin, is it the virgin r1 in BSB that had 1 and 4 fire then 3 and 2 fire at the same time to help get traction to the ground
other than that a twin for the sound as you really dont need that much power on the road anyways
OK - i'll take ya for a rideOriginally Posted by Cibby Chick

Only owned one bike but would say that I like the sound of a/my twin at idle, but dont like the sound at high speed (as a bystander). Prefer the inline 4 sound at speed.
"If life gives you a shit sandwich..." someone please complete this expression
V4's thanks. Best of both worlds.
Have owned lots of inline 4s before, and a couple of v-twins and would have found it hard to pick a favourite (both different and both good) until owning the 636. No doubt GSXR600 and R6 and CBR600RR are the same or very similar. Smooth, turbine like acceleration, wonderful howl as it spins towards its red line, plenty (!!!) of power, engine braking is not too savage (a pet hate). Give me a modern 600 inline 4 any time. But then I wouldn't say no to a 749......

Inline 4 coz they are fast!
havnt riden a factory twin that impressed me, the RSVR was the best of the twins that I have riden, but not as good as the worst of the inlines..
