had a scooter once with a very touchy clutch, would pull wheel stands away from the lights, my boss at the time said I was full of crap and scooters don't pull wheelies, said he wanted a crack at it, he got on and nailed the throttle, up went the front wheel, he slid off back with the throttle still on full noise, and ended up chasing it round the carpark for a minute or two until he managed to lift the whole bike of the ground to stop himself.

    3 events spring to mind...
first; riding from Gizzy to Palmy, stopped at a rest stop to check out the river (which then made me need to have a leak..),back on bike, cut across the grass instead of going long way round, next thing bike spins 360 on damp grass& lands on it's side...all in front of holidaying families...arse.
second; busting for a leak i spotted the toilet block in some wee scottish village. pull in quick as, mrs gets off, i lean the bike...bang! no sidestand. arse.
third; a full bus comes to a stop in London (this NEVER happens - busses hate bikes there!) to let me pull out,i do...and the bike stalls as i'm leant over...bang. full bus of pommie gits have a giggle...arse.
    they happen in three's...

When I was about 18, I werked in the same building as ACC.

They used to chuck out all their claims junk next to where I parked me DT250.
One day I saw on the top of the pile a one piece PVC Rain Suit (the ones with the racing stripe down the chest), in good nick with just a bit of a rip in the lower leg. I thought "just the thing fer trail riding" and half inched it.

Of course I found out after about 10 minutes in Maramura Forest that PVC Riding gear may keep the mud out, but they also keep the heat and the sweat in...so off it came.

Anyways, later after riding at some stage after a session in the Red Fox the arms were tied around my waist and riding home (to my mate's dads place on SH2) I entertained the boys by having the legs flapping in the breeze behind me.

So after stopping to open the gate I let the guys go through, closed it, and then hopped on my bike in a tearing hurry to get up the house afore they drank all the beer.

As I opened the throttle on the mighty DT, I felt a tremendous pain in my neither regions - "Appendix!!!" - but this hypothesis failed to explain why a) my guts were being squeezed, vice like, and b)I was being pulled backward off my bike....

What had happened of course, was that the legs of my riding suit had tangled in the sprocket. After drinking most of the beer, the guys returned back down the race in time to see me ripping the last shred of PVC from the chain....

brakes needed new fluid so stopped in at servo to get some on way to BJs before a loop ride, pop container on tank and take off from servo swerve round van in the bp flick bike back but for some reason *insert brake fluid container between tank and steering mechanism* it didnt flick back and over it went. Held on and caught the bike on me and mainly my foot which still hurts now a few months later !? Foot bent gear lever so was 1st gear all the way to BJs then a claw hammer to fix, oh and fixed the brakes then to!

Done the sidestand trick ( namely at Arthur's pass dinner/ servo in front of tourists mmm duh!) excuse though it had been a hard weekend (punakiaki rally 91')
Stupidist thing though was when i got my old XR500 years ago, riding the sod around the back paddock over a few humps & the bitch clawed up over 1, i'll fell off the back the rear came up ( it had a small packframe thingy) collected me under the jaw, KO'd me, woke up roughly 10mins later. 3 stitches required HAHA!

Dropped the bike in crowded public places a few times but nothing too bad yet (touch wood).

However had a classic happen to my friend when at the testing station.....was asked to ride up the aisle (between the two pits) and do a quick stop to test the front brakes. A combination of hitting the picks too hard and a smooth surface caused the bike slip out from under him and slide across one of the pits. The momentum must of kept it going right across otherwise it could of got quite nasty for everyone. Needless to say, the rest of the inspection was rather brief and he was quickly sent of his way with his new WOF
It's all fun and games until someone loses a hymen

Once when I filled up my 250cc, forgot to put fuel switch back to ON from reserve. Then ran out of petrol in the middle of nowhere.

ive driven off with the disc-lock on 3 times. dropped it once.
gone around a corner while staring at the curb. flipped the bike over.
gone onto the wrong side of the road cos i was to scared to lean it any further over twice.

oh and saw someone crash, so pulled onto the right hand side of the road on the blind right hand corner and dropped my bike into the clay. I think i did more damage to my bike than he did. thats all I can think of
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis

Had borrowed a mates bike a few years ago (one of the early GSX's) and went for a blat. Seeing the fuel was low I thought I'd top it up for him so I pulled into the station filled it up (all of $10 in those days), went in to pay for it and bought a pie too. Didn't even notice getting charged only $1.50 and left. 3 seconds later (where are they when you need THEM) sirens and lights. Shiiiit!! I freak out (no lisence) and gunned it. Up the road lose it on a corner, go through the fence into the playground, drop the bike in the sand pit. Handcuffed in the back of the car, get charged with evasion, resisting, theft, and spent the rest of the weekend in the cells! I ended up with a $200 fine for failing to stop and riding without a lisence. And $500 for fixing mates bike. Dumbass.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them
