US Cycle World magazine $10 US a year !!

ok - i'd stopped buying bike mags - except kiwi rider of course (love you dave)
They were so expensive i felt like a dick paying $15 an issue for cycle world, the last one i was buying.
now - you can subscribe online and download it every month (way before it hits the stands here in nz) for $10 US a YEAR!
thats about the same price as a month here in print.
so - i did it and it's great, the whole mag, and you can zoom up on the pics etc.
of course - you can't have a pile of them in the loo, but othewise i'd totally recommend it!
works on mac and winblows too.

be interesting to see how it goes.
wouldn't be hard to do - production wise - i'm not privy to info on how much of the cover price goes toward the publisher, but a quantifyable number of downloads would add credence to the 'bang for advetising buck' argument and allow rates to increase and augment loss of hard copy sale revenues.

fwiw i don't read other mags at all.
when i try and write music - it always ends up reminding me of someone else's - that's why i don't read anybody (ok, moroney and mackay occassionally) - because then i know i can't be paraphrasing someone else.
It's all original drivel dontchaknow. the prices we pay.

    Well BD,

Having just flicked through the latest edition of KR, I was pleasantly suprised to see that it's leaps and bounds ahead of the ones earlier this year.

    Good Job!
