Bugger... Hope you are OK today and I agree that you should report it etc as it was not your fault etc etc. Bastard of the thing to pick out at night and the potential for serious harm was there. Consider yourself lucky perhaps?

Please be more cowfull out there.... ;-)

I'm real sorry to hear that mate. Bugger.

I'm very pleased you're ok. I was a bit worried for a moment there - who would I duel with at track days?

I know that a set back like this won't throw you too much though, and I'm sure I'll hear that 250 screeming again soon!

If there's anything I can do to help don't be afraid to ask.

Damn girl, you some sort of hardass? Cow is big and solid, Jade and Velox not. Lets not lose any KBers OK? Good you're pretty much ok tho'.

    P.S. How's the cow doing?

Oh no, not cows! The poor things must have been terrified.

I thought you lived in Newtown or summat similar. I guess this event buggers that theory, unless there is something sinister about Wellington City's bovine bylaws of which I am blissfully unaware. More likely that you live in some udder place...

Anyway Velox, I hope you are not too traumatised, and sue the relevant cockie's arse under the provisions of his public liability insurance policy.

Hope the hand heals right quickly... Not a nice thing to come across especially on a corner... Hope you get your bike fixed and back riding again.

Cheers fellas. Haven't seen the said herd yet but there's one that's got a strip of skin about 3x10cm missing which I found on the road. I chucked it away but then realised how cool it would have been to tan it and wrap it around my handlebars! Oh well.

Don't want to hassle the farmer too much cause we're mates with him (lives right next door, small close-nit community) but something will def be said. The neighbours are all pretty pissed off. If the cows had been a car/bike I could have stopped in time cause I would have seen it without my lights being on it (around a corner) but cows are a diff story. I assume that all 'road users' are required to have lights at night?!

Got the Jade going last night and I'll pick up some more bits for it today hopefully, just won't be totally legal until the instr panel gets semi-sorted.

    That's sucks mate,

At least it didn't write you or the bike off. Looks like your guardian angles had to put a bit of overtime in.

Don't let it distract you tooo much from your study though.

This is why anyone in business has public liability insurance. He can claim the cost of repairing your bike against his cover.

The animals owner is responsible for all damages to your bike and also should be legally in the shit if they are allowing their animals to wander out onto a public road. Sounds like this has been an ongoing problem? And if so, they animal owners have not really done much to rectify the situation. I guess some people need to actually learn the hard way? I'd be bailing the neighbour up really good over this, if I was in your shoes.
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
