    Yellow Cagiva and Yellow Monster

In Havelock today about 10.15 ish.

Nice rides you two, you were parked up sitting on some seats when I drove by in my cage, off to Whites Bay in Marlborough with a car full of whanau.

Both are made by Cagiva BTW. One just happens to have the "D" word on it.

Cagiva's owners (the Castiglioni brothers) have only had a minority (maybe even no interest now) interest in Ducati since 1996. Cagiva make MV and Husqvarna, and of course Cagivas, though the Navigator and Mito are the only things branded Cagiva at the moment.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

What about the Raptor (7 models)? My understanding is Cagiva has more than a minority interest in Ducati Motor Holdings. If it wasn't for them Ducati would have gone under............

Raptors aren't being made at the moment while they concentrate on MV products.

It was true that Cagiva saved Ducati, but they haven't been a management factor since TPG, an American investment firm, bought a majority holding in 1996. In 1996 Ducati was in the same state that Cagiva found it, with workers and suppliers unpaid for months and no stock to complete bikes on the assembly line.

MV have recently been through the same wringer, and it is only the Italian legal system and Government investment programmes that have sustained both Ducati and Cagiva, and meant that their respective brands are still with us. Same goes for Aprilia, Benelli, Mondial, and Moto Guzzi.

And the Monster and Raptor were styled by the same guy------a Raptor 650 is a honey of a bike! - severely under-rated

I didn't realise that, they did look quite similar. I must say, I do like the Cagiva, its a smart looking beast.

Bit of a misunderstanding on my part. Looks like the Monster designer was responable for the Raptor design as well, hense the similar apperance.
