    Forked seals -help

mmmmk well I failed my wof on a blown fork seal.....
got a quote from TSS where i had the WOF check done.... decided i couldnt afford on the day so i'd come see what i could find on here..........

I'm looking at replacing both seals and chuckin in some stiffer spings and thicker oil, should be the go a?

I'm fairly mechanical minded and like to do all my own work on my car but i'm a lil dodge about messing with the bike, especially suspension etc when i dont have all the tools...... so have decided to pay the money and have someone to blame if the wheels fall off.......

needs sum new shoes too soooo - going afer sum pirelli sports demon/dragons120F 140R-70-17, on the strength of whats been said bout them here

SOOO, if theres a bike shop keen to hook me up a deal - or a mechanic keen for a perky(cash, beers, whatever... ), i'd like to sort out the forks really soon (next week, tuesday if poss...) and the tyre same time if at a shop.
(if its a perky job there's a lil bit of plastic welding to be done that i'd be keen to get onto.... more than happy to be hands and or ears if someone wants to do the mentor teacher thing)

send me a PM with a quote and we'll sort something out

    Cheers heaps guys

    fork seals help!

I just bought a GSXR 250 for 400 dollars. Good deal I think. The fork seals need replacing but i thought i could do it myself. Im in japan at the moment and finding a manual is very difficult. Im mechanically minded but havent realy touched bikes before. I really need a guide to follow so i dont f@#$ up to badly. labour here is expensive which is why i think i got it so cheap. Any help would be apreciated.
    thanks

A timely reminder of our late brother Flyin. I was thinking of him a couple of days ago.

And also a timely reminder of why sometimes it isn't a good idea to unearth old threads.
