    Cycletreads/Pitlane Chch

This 200th post of mine is appropriately one of commendation.

The GB is 17yr old and has 83,300 on the clock and the front disk is down to the 4mm minimum. Last Friday I wanders into Cycletreads and chat to Don (the Man) about a new disk. He first suggests one from a wrecker, but then finds a new after market in Japan for $250 so orders one. At 8:30am Monday I get a ring from Don that the disk has arrived (what!!!).

Today I tootles into Cycletreads and after a wee wander around town and a coffee at Cycletreads and chatting to the mechanic (who is also a legend) while he finishes off, it is all done. New disk, pads and replacement brake fluid all for $315. How does he do it.

So BIG thums up to Cycletreads. Good job, good price.

While in the shop, met Artifice for the first time (he saw the KB STICKER on the GB). He was dropping thru before heading up to the Nelson rally.
I have just found out that they have removed the word gullible from the dictionary

....I got a new tyre fitted on the Buell on Monday late morning at Cycletreads, and yep they did a good AND well priced job after having a little trouble getting the rear wheel off at first, damn good people to talk to as well! ....and i pretty much just turned up and they did it on the spot for me

    Cheers guys

Unlike Budget Motorcycle Spares who I have had on order for a customer a pair of 130/90 x 6 (yes 6") tyres for 6 months now, and Trev still cant tell me when they are arriving. Its a 3 wheeler Honda Gyro in case youre wondering. Will ring Don on Monday....

Have had a good experience similar to yours at cycletreads in takapoontang.
I myself work in the automotive trade on better than average cars and our customer service is not even close to theirs.
Needed some new tyres for my old ZXR250, rode on up saturday morning, greeted as soon as I got of my bike, shown my options then sat down while they carried out the work. Was givin a hot drink (it was winter) without even asking. They found my rear pads were nearly gone and chucked some in for next to nothing. Work done, bike pointed down the ramp for an easy exit. So I was very impressed. Good job guys.

Come on Gav, Trev is just misunderstood*

If you ever get stuck like that just pm me those gyros ,,,are very common over here I can send the tyres over no prob,,,If they are not urgent I could stick em in a container with other bikes

when I was doing up my 400F over the past couple of months, I got:

    tyres
    airfilter
    oilfilter
    chain
    sprockets
    replacement mirrors

    from them.

    they rule.
