I'd love to do another trackday, as it was, I worked out that the Manfield training day cost me minimum $450 all up. Thats track hirage, training fee, gas and half a tyres tread. The tyre I used had 4 weeks use prior to the track, and the tread depth failed the WOF last friday.
    This is the cheap option!
A private track hirage would have boosted this cost another 400 perhaps.

Whats the F.O.C.? (Sounds like swearwords!)

I know where you coming from on tyres there Dafe. Those big twins infact any litre bikes are great for chewing out tyres.

The last rear on my SV lasted for about 2 trackdays 2 testdays and 2 and 1/2 race meetings before it had worn out on one side. I'm not the fastest of riders but for this point alone I'm glad I'm not riding a thou as I just couldn't afford to ride at as many events if I did.

Test days are for EVERYONE! not just racers.
I understand about staying on your own line etc, But if you want a clear track, Hire it yourself.
We were all testing our bikes, setting the suspension and learning a HELL of a lot from Brian. You just cant do that on the road.

Im not trying to cause shit here Shaun, just putting my point across.
Ive done a couple of training days with the Honda Riders Club, You were there and can say it is well worth it!
One of th days was absolutly pissing down with rain! (Remember that one? I was on a GSXR400)
Motorcycing is not a hobby, It is a way of life!

Shaun, I too was at that coaching day.
My apologies if we were getting in your way but this was the only way we could afford to do it. The financial commitment of totally hiring out the track is beyond most of us.
The times I did see you zipping past was a joy to see and at those speeds I can understand the safety issue you are concerned with. But Shaun just remember back when you were first learning I'm sure you would have jumped at the chance to spend a day learning from a top rider who ever it may be.
We all would have liked to have met you, it's always nice to put a face and a name to the tailpipe you see disapearing at warp speed.
Someday I would like to take you up on your offer of a coaching session. I'm alway keen to learn from those who have greater skills than me.
Thanks for your reply, I can understand that in the heat of the day it can bring out the devil in us all.

Get one on inlinefour's new bike. Might be the only way to get rid of those chicken strips
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
