Those little motors rev like snot and need good oil pressure or else--kachingo
TRue - I kept checking oil - It was FULL in the morning and I only rode less than 50 kms in total...... most of it was thrashing it on Cheenic Dwive - but ......... oh well.

Hhmmm.. mine was dripping oil/liquid but I did overfill the petrol at kopu. Stopped after that 200kms later. Oil is at a normal level (above) and temps are low as... I might change it to be safe.

What im thinking is that petrol overflow caught crap from front chain sprocket and made it oilly like chain oil or something.

Also jsg it could have been your Swivel pin in your tacho or your gyro that came loose?!

Ahh well... bad luck matey! Sorry to hear that.

aww mate, bad luck. There we were talking to you at the stop, I'm giving you a bit of shit about luck with bikes (as you do), you even said, "Mechanically I reckon its good tho" (or something like that).

Glad to see you have managed to sort everything quickly...

There aint no decent 2fiddy zookies you dirty bleached bloke.

Anyway - our mate Yoshi kindly offered to swap the motor for me saving me what would have been a labour bill of a few hundred dollars .

Give that man some bling all of you. Yoshi

So from 3pm (ish) today thats what we've done.

Exhaust/Headers, radiator, tank, air box, rear fairings (got in the way) and everything else removed. Old motor removed and stacked aside. New motor lying 1 foot away waiting to be slotted in.

Bout another 2 hours non-stop work and the bikes ..... then all it needs is a tune up and we're again

Rhino took some pics - post them please Rhino.

    Cheers,

Hahah - so you did, but I've invested too much already into the thing.

But anyway - now that the new motor is going in tomorrow and since I've personally stripped the bike to little bits, at least I know every nut and bolt on it.

    Thumbs up

Now we know where Magua's jinx went.

Your attitude is commendable. Ghandi would be proud.

No pissing and moaning, just organise another engine and get on with it. Plus you've got some spares now.

I'm used to bad luck mate....

Cool - I'll come and shout at you one of these days.....

Today was super, super good luck - if you ignore the blowing a hole bit.......

    1. I get a passer by who gives me a lift home and stores my bike in his warehouse which happens to be 5 mins from where I blow up.

    2. KB'er Rogson (a guy I've never even heard of before) offers to pick-up and transport my bike over to Yoshi's from the warehouse - give the man some rep people - he deserves it. THANKS MATE.

    3. I manage to find an engine

    4. Yoshi offers to help me fix the bike - FOR FREE

    5. By the early evening everything is stripped off and I'm ready to slot in the new engine.

Blown engine to fully sorted in 2 hours......ready for engine swap in 5 hours...

Shit happens, I'm used to it...... but it's all fixed - so I'm stoked.
